2nd ANICOM Multispecies Methods Workshop
Collaborating to understand Intuitive Interspecies Communication
Infos
The team of the ANICOM project — Animal Communicators: Intuitive Interspecies Communication as a Key to Dialogic Multispecies Methods — is thrilled to announce their second three-day Multispecies Methods Workshop, hosted at the University of Liège.
After a successful launch of the ANICOM project and a mind-expanding first multispecies methods workshop last year, this second workshop invites professional animal communicators and Indigenous specialists from all over the world to discuss the phenomenon of Intuitive Interspecies Communication (IIC) with international scholars. The ANICOM team will discuss their first research findings from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Belgium, Finland, Portugal, India and Canada with invited local research participants and international experts, exploring the knowledge worlds that lie between shamanistic, esoteric, scientific and animal onto-epistemologies.
The program features an innovative mix of presentations, discussions, experiential activities, artistic work and an interactive keynote by biologist and philosopher Andreas Weber (author of Enlivenment). Again, our aim is to expand our epistemological frameworks and ontological assumptions through authentic and open dialogues, as we work together towards the development of multispecies methodologies that will help us better understand other animals, as well as ourselves.
